“I was very skeptical going into mediation with anyone as my co-parent and I would probably be considered “high conflict” and I didn’t imagine anyone could really help. I was worried I would just be manipulated into giving in since compromise must be made and I’ve always felt like the one that gives.

Gwen was empathetic on our first phone call which is what drew me to to use her over another mediator I spoke to who simply emphasized her “neutrality” to me. I wanted someone I felt would be able to understand my point of view rather than just be “neutral.”

We ended up having three sessions with Gwen and I was blown away. She did have a way of making us both feel seen and understood, and I even felt like she stuck up for me and challenged my co-parent at times and he somehow still liked her!
