I was very skeptical going into mediation with anyone as my co-parent and I would probably be considered “high conflict” and I didn’t imagine anyone could really help. I was worried I would just be manipulated into giving in since compromise must be made and I’ve always felt like the one that gives.

Gwen was empathetic on our first phone call which is what drew me to to use her over another mediator I spoke to who simply emphasized her “neutrality” to me. I wanted someone I felt would be able to understand my point of view rather than just be “neutral.”

We ended up having three sessions with Gwen and I was blown away. She did have a way of making us both feel seen and understood, and I even felt like she stuck up for me and challenged my co-parent at times and he somehow still liked her! Some of you reading this will understand how miraculous this felt…

I have a friend who’s been working with a mediator who she says is “really nice” but doesn’t really do much to help her, and I’ve told her about our sessions with Gwen and she said they sound amazing compared to her experience! If you are skeptical of mediation like I was because conflict with your co-parent always has felt impossible, I would highly recommend working with Gwen 🙂

Gwen did an excellent job documenting our wants and needs for our divorce with child. I highly recommend you and your partner find a way to compromise and move forward with your lives through mediation. Save yourself all of that time, money, and frustration, otherwise the only people winning are the lawyers. You have to suck it up though and go in without egos. Be reasonable. Gwen is kind and patient and listens, but the work is on you both to compromise. Good luck! I highly recommend Gwen and this method to end a marriage.
